What is Lettergetter Online?

Lettergetter Online is a service where Lettergetter corresponds via email with classes around the world and uses his website to share children's knowledge, stories, artwork, photos, and creativity. Children respond as experts to questions from Lettergetter about their strange planet as well as having their own questions answered by Lettergetter. This correspondence not only provides teachers with an entertaining focus for shared reading and writing, but also integrates internet technology seamlessly into the reading program.

The Lettergetter Online website is a place where classrooms involved in the project can publish and view each other's contributions. They can also correspond with each other if they wish. Lettergetter Online also provides email and web-based support and extension activities for teachers focusing on selected titles in the AWARD Reading Program.
