How to use this website

 

Login

When you receive notification that your account has been activated, login using the username and password supplied by your school or district administrator.
If you would like to change you username or password please contact sales@awardreadingonline.com


Forgotten your password?

If you forget your password, contact your school or district administrator, or click here to get your password emailed to your account administrator. You will then have to contact this person directly to retrieve your password.


Technical Issues

If you have difficulty accessing the resources on this website, contact support@awardreadingonline.com

Note: AWARD Reading Online can be accessed by multiple users, using the same username and password, at the same time.


System Requirements

 

Web Browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 6/7/8, Firefox 3/3.5, Safari 3/4, Chrome 2/3, Opera 9.5

  • Browser cookies must be enabled

  • We recommend a broadband connection.

  • Note that awardreadingonline.com does not support Mac OS 9 browsers, such as Internet Explorer for Macintosh.


Display Settings:

  • 1024 x 768 pixels minimum resolution.


Plug-ins, Browser Settings and Helper Applications:

  • JavaScript must be enabled in your Web browser.

  • Adobe Flash Player 8 or higher is required for all multimedia on awardreadingonline.com. Flash Player is a free download from Adobe.

  • Cookies must be enabled in your Web browser for personalized content.

Hardware

AWARD has been tested extensively on the following minimum hardware configurations:

  • Windows
    Intel® Pentium® III 1000MHz or faster processor (or equivalent)
    512MB of RAM

  • Macintosh
    PowerPC® G4 1000MHz or faster processor
    Intel Core™ Duo 1.33GHz or faster processor
    512MB of RAM

Other Hardware:

  • Speakers or headphones for audio content.


Using the TEKS with AWARD Reading

We have provided electronic links from the TEKS to content in our teaching plans. Here are some guidelines to help you to use these “hot links” effectively.

When you open the correlation document for each grade, click on an entry to open the teaching plan for that TEK. If you have any problems with this, here are some solutions.

Pop-up Windows

In your browser preferences, check to make sure that the browser allows pop-up windows. Uncheck the box next to Block pop-up windows.

To avoid having to rely on the back button to go back and forward from the TEKS to the teaching plans, check the box to always open pages in Tabs.
